I fell in love with the melancholic, bittersweet creatures by Jeannie Lynn Paskie…
“There is a world tucked away behind this one. An old world made p of endless fields, distant hills and timeworn cliffs. A place where the sun is aways setting. A land in which extinct slow-moving monsters and elegant gentle-faced creatures of all shapes and sizes reside. Delicately balancing their hope with despair. reminiscent of long departed dreams and uncollected thoughts. Time stands still here so as to let the residents gaze in solitude upon the vast richly textured skies. Forever in search of a place to better sit and watch their world pass them by.”
Ink Storm, the fascinating graduation project of Marc van Gennip…
“INK STORM is a research of bleeding ink into prints.By interrupting the process by hand, a storm of ink will be released within the prints. This then transforms from being static and geometric into dramatic and organic. The Storms are controllable, but once released they will go their own way.
Every storm has it’s own spontaneous colournuances and shapes”
A really great work of research which will surely show a new way forward to textile prints enhancement and such a poetical way to emphasize how beautiful randomness can be!
“…Maybe I have multiply personalities. But I insist that desgn is alive, organic, and will be changed on the go according to its environment. One third of my time is spent designing. Two thirds of my time is spent justifying my work. making up theories. After the fact. I lie. And the lie to hide the cover up. And lie again…”
