SUSAN PIETZSCH

The Kawari Dama necklace wasn’t the first attempt by Suzan Pietzch to mix two materials such gold and sugar…

She seems to be fascinated by the food theme, as it is so recurrent in her works

AMAZING ANIMAL

The Amazing Animal project, a cross between contemporary jewelry, personal feelings, and visual arts…

“We live surrounded by innumerable amounts of objects. By personal objects and belongings an indivisual leaves his trails and marks behind. Amazing Animal: Mervi Kurvinen (-74), Kati Nulpponen (-74) and Maria Nuutinen (-75) are jewellery artists, making contemporary jewellery, jewellery- like objects and installations. The name of the group comes from the one and only animal who decorates his body on purpose. Human body is a playground for jewellery artist, jewellery works as a sign from a person to others.”

KENT ROGOWSKI

The amazing Bears project by Kent Rogowski

“There is something about us all that is stuffed.

Stuffed animals have been turned inside-out and restuffed… Simple patterns and devices that were never meant to be seen are now what form the bears’ physical traits and give them a unique personality… they are once hideous once cute, disturbing yet endearing while they offer metaphors for our own experience.”
