“My work is concerned with the idea of finding access to the world of dreams, desires and wishes. I view my pieces as witnesses of experiences made in reality, but being transferred to a place of fantasy. The pieces are meant to offer the viewer access points, pathways and doors to the world of dreaming and the inner self.
There we find the resources and strength needed to carry on living in reality.
Without dreams, one becomes a robot.”

“My work is bsed on an interpretation of the cultural and art historical framework of a given period towards a personal concept of contemporary jewellery.
With a strong emphasis on sensibility I illustrate my concepts using a self- invented plastic technique in combination with precious metals and stones.
Furthermore I work with themes of illusions and lack of function in order to awake my viewer’s curiosity, and to show jewellery in new value contexts.”
This post is dedicated to all those who will be in Milan in the next week (22-27 april) attending to one of the most important design events worldwide: the Salone del Mobile. Besides the Salone and the Salone satellite, the entire city will be hosting the Fuorisalone, a meltin’ pot of performances, exhibitions, open showrooms, parties and happenings. This is, in my opinion, the most innovative and stimulating part. If you don’t want to miss anything about it, here’s the website you have to check regularly: http://2009.fuorisalone.it
You’ll find the guide to events and parties, real-time reports and guidelines, so stay tuned!!
By the way, one of the most awaited events will be the launch of Diesel lighting, furniture and textile lines, in cohoperation with Foscarini, Moroso and Zucchi. Here’s the teaser, and here’s thewebsite!

Adam Cvjanovic paints huge, calamitous scenes of a floating Los Angeles with all its clichés…
(By the way, these paintings reminded me of the last scene of Zabriskie point by Michelangelo Antonioni, in wich the filmed explosion was surrounded by Pink Floyd’s sound…)

It’s been a long time since I last saw works so simple, direct and funny, somehow “childish”, by a visual artist. I like the way Javier Jaén’s images and works go straight to the point without needing to be explained or introduced. A lot of works made me smile. Some others made me think. Enjoy the portfolio!
