but just by looking at that, its not really art, its just as you said taking Mary, and painting her in pink.

what are you Trying to say by doing this type of thing? I don’t even see it as art. Art comes from a man or woman’s heart – it’s about passion and creativity.

this? silly isn’t the word but it’s the kindest one i can think of. But personally it strikes me the same way as that other so-called-artist who used excrement in his work depicting The Virgin Mary. That one was a hateful demonstration of one’s hate towards Mary and/or those who see her as a powerful and important and loving woman, who without her ‘yes’ to God there’d be no Jesus, no Holy Family with Saint Joseph. To attack such a loved Saint is something that sadly has become chic of sorts, and frankly has lost it’s ‘shock’ value if that is what YOU were shooting for here.

and I’d recommend saying 3 Hail Mary’s – since it’s been said “Heaven opens for 3 Hail Mary’s” and really, couldn’t hurt at all, especially in this case.

Holy Mary is the mother of us all according to Catholic Church tradition. She is the Motrher of God and her flesh became the flesh of Christ. ( think and reflect about that)
When Catholics consume Christ who chose to live in the Bread as his humble dwelling he took on the greatest of all humilty. Why portray this beloved mystery in a cheap way?

You may not have ‘shocked’ the Catholic public, but you certainly have offended us. Being a so-called artist doesn’t excuse you to ‘play with icons.’ Find a more appropriate outlet for your creative whims.

You may want to rethink your work in respect of the Blessed Mother. How would you like to have your Mother portrayed as a pony??
You’re art is offensive. I’m an artist and artist’s need to be respectful and sensitive to other cultures and religion. Mary was Jesus’s Mum, who loved her son and the world. Jesus and Mary bring a message of peace. Your work is blasphemy and your concepts are not new. Everything really has been done over and over in the art world. The challenge for artists now is to challenge the audience in a different direction. I recently watched a program on an artist who paints icon, let me tell you, her work was extrodinarily beautiful and her art practice was to pray before creating her work. Praying to Jesus may help you come to some resolve. I’m sorry, I wish you the best with your new art projects. Jesus loves you.

Mary the mother of Jesus, in my humble opinion is the most beautiful, merciful, loving mother who gave her child Jesus to us for our salvation.
Nothing from this world can even touch Mary. If Mary could speak to us here on earth, she would just weep for sorrow for Soasig because she is harming herself and ruining her eternal life for ever. I can only say I join my dear mother Mary, and my Jesus in praying for the salvation of the soul of this artist who is playing with fire, the fires of Hell.
May Soasig one day recognize her mistake before God Almighty, before it is too late for her.

eh! no way ! The first statue of Our dearest Mother Mary looks like peppermint candy hearts eh! The 2nd statue looks terrible EH EH I never recall our dear mother as super lady or super women how dare the artist ! I know our dear mother as the lovely lady dressed in blue teach me how to pray. That was a poem I knew since I was 5 My grand mom one day when I was in fear she handed me the rosary of our dear lady I will never forget and all fear left me when I drive in my car I have a CD I pray along and say the rosary to our mot ? not ! DIS QUESTING her and her divine son Jesus .
